Kid Way is a members only social club for children in grades 1 through 5.
Kid Way members enjoy a variety of social, recreational, educational and leadership activities, including: recreational sports and seasonal outdoor activities, games and recreation equipment, arts and crafts projects, singing and caroling, cooking, baking, nutrition activities, environmental activities, leadership exercises, volunteer and community engagement activities, personal growth and relationship activities, self esteem groups, conflict resolution support , incentive programs, homework help, theme parties (birthday, special occasions), daily snack and complimentary transportation from school to Club.
Offered within Kid Way, is Jump Start where kids can participate in: floor hockey, soccer, basketball, badminton, swimming lessons, volleyball, curling, etc. Also for the inspiring chefs, Kid Food Nation is offered where kids learn about healthy food choices, food preparation and cooking.
Youth Mentor Program
The Keystone Leadership program is for youth grades 7 – 12. Keystone offers fun and meaningful activities that focus on five core values: (1) Leadership, (2) Teamwork, (3) Healthy Choices, (4) Service to Club and Community, and (5) Learning for Life. Activities may include but not be limited to volunteer, fundraising and community service opportunities, education and career planning, life skills development and resume development, team building and communication exercises, discussions, and guest speakers on mental, emotional and physical health, and more. Keystone also offers a variety of social and recreation opportunities and physical activities, both onsite and in the community and the opportunity to attend a regional leadership camp.
The Kinsmen Summer program is for kids grades 1-5 and allows children travel throughout central Alberta taking in a variety of fun, meaningful and unique summer experiences that they may not otherwise have. This program offers themed weeks and daily trips that fit with the theme. Activities and events include but are not limited to: Edmonton Street Performers, Folk Fest, Ukrainian Cultural Village, horseback riding, corn maze, Fort Edmonton Park, Elk Island, Ellis Bird Farm, Jurassic Forest, Valley Zoo, WEM Water Park/Galaxy Land, Vertically Inclined, Discovery Canyon, Telus World of Science, Jump 360, etc.
We offer a variety of fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities starting with Grade 9 students through adulthood and senior years. Volunteer opportunities are available between October and May. CBGC volunteers contribute to an enhanced experience for the children and youth we serve. CBGC volunteers benefit from opportunities that promote personal development and growth, increased confidence and self worth, build experience, expand resumes, and provide a sense of belonging and purpose.
